Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award winning digital content agency and media network who are currently on the lookout for a Technology Lead to join our IT/Tech Ops Team.

As Technology Lead, you will help transform Tech Ops at Little Dot Studios, driving innovation across our tech stack and ensuring the effective provision of software/services that meet the business needs. As an expert at integrating systems, you will have a deep understanding of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure. You'll spend your time mainly on project work, but you’ll also be a key player in service delivery by acting as a technical escalation point for support staff.

You will work closely with the Head of Technical Operations, other cross-functional teams and key business stakeholders to drive innovation and optimise efficiency across our platforms. The role has a particular focus on upgrading and virtualising our existing content editing workflows.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME 

• Manage and maintain the company's technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, endpoints and software systems, ensuring optimal performance, stability, and security.

• Lead technology projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.

• Design and build a secure, resilient and scalable video editing solution that provides our teams with a seamless content editing experience whether in office or at home.

• Engage with key business stakeholders to establish the business’ technology needs.

• Be the subject matter expert in all aspects of implemented systems, with an in-depth knowledge of how they are configured, deployed and run.

• Involved in the complete technology lifecycle, from conceptualisation to implementation, including transition to Operations and Service Delivery.

• Create and maintain effective technical and operational documentation; including accurate records of technology infrastructure, configurations and changes, and making available to relevant personnel.

• Ensure all work carried out complies with our group policy and Tech Ops standard procedures / best practice.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior Tech Ops staff; going beyond being an escalation point to help foster the team’s professional growth.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 

Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything. 

• Excellent technical knowledge and experience - a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent hands on experience in a range of roles.

• Ability to configure virtual environments, functional networks, servers, software.

• A good understanding of IT Security (AV, Firewalls), DHCP & DNS, storage systems.

• Knowledge of network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills including LANs, WANs & Wireless, TCP/IP networking principles.

• Strong understanding of media production workflows and technology requirements.

• Proficiency with Identity and Access Management systems inc SSO integrations (Okta preferred).

• In-depth knowledge of Google Workspace admin and proficient with MDM solutions (Jamf preferred).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to explain problems and solutions in a non-technical, engaging and professional way.

• Able to apply a disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving while working under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.

• Capacity to thrive in a dynamic and changeable environment, and able to effectively adapt to changing requirements and competing demands is essential.

As the team grows over time, people management skills maybe required - This will mean the ability to provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to a high-performing Technology team.
