CONTENT SUPPLY-CHAIN LEAD
Our Strategic Operations team is on the look out for a Content Supply-Chain Lead, an integral role that sees triage of our workflow automation processes and exploration of exciting new software.
CONTENT SUPPLY-CHAIN LEAD
We Realise Potential in Your Story
Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are a multi-platform production company, social media agency, and digital media network who are currently on a quest to find a Content Supply-Chain Lead to join our Strategic Operations team - Is this your next opportunity?
The Content Supply-Chain Lead is a key member of the Strategic Operations team. You will lead the day-to-day operations of Little Dot’s ingest pipeline, video processing and wider content operations teams, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our video supply-chain. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing external vendors and confidently owning our delivery workflows, such as by customising metadata schemas and automating asset workflows. We're looking for someone keen to develop their skills in both triaging workflow automation processes as well as researching new and creative softwares to improve our content delivery.
PERKS OF THE JOB
We are proud to be an award winning, B Corp™ Certified workplace with employee wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We offer hybrid and flexi-time working, mental health and wellbeing programmes, enhanced family leave, interest free financial support and a digital nomad policy that allows you to work from abroad in two one week blocks a year. Plus all the usuals such as pension contributions, annual leave and office perks like free lunches, socials, and health treatments!
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME
Providing operational leadership across content ingest, video processing and content operations functions, to ensure that day-day-operations workstreams are delivered to Little Dot Studios standards.
Managing end-to-end QC workflows for complex media projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and maintaining high standards for delivery.
Identifying subtle technical or creative inconsistencies and implementing corrective measures to resolve issues efficiently - additionally, signing off on nuanced issues found in QC which require escalation.
Utilising Asana to track operational data; build and improve workflows; and identifying fail rates, error trends, or any other operational blockers.
Overseeing and optimising resource allocation across the department, as well as proactively managing workflows to prevent resource-related disruptions.
Independently managing resource planning: this includes ensuring optimal allocation of personnel, equipment, and time for projects; regularly reviewing resource usage; and adjusting plans to mitigate potential bottlenecks.
Triaging workflow automation processes: diagnosing and resolving encode failures, distinguishing between errors needing escalation to the Workflow Automation Manager, and adjusting files for automation.
Researching and identifying new software or workflow tweaks which may be beneficial in the pursuit of content creation and delivery.
Defining and maintaining operational standards across all content operations functions, driving continuous improvement and ensuring best practices are consistently applied.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Skills matter, experience is useful, attitude is everything.
Experience managing external vendors/freelance pools.
Skilled in optimising MAM systems and delivery workflows by customising metadata schemas, automating asset workflows, and knowledge of seamless integration with production pipelines to handle large-scale libraries.
Proficient in implementing performance optimisation techniques for storage and retrieval, and managing content distribution across multiple platforms.
Intermediate knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder.
Experience with reviewing/error reporting from Terminal/CLI logs to diagnose FFMPEG or Python automation errors.
Familiarity with Social Media CMSs (YouTube, Meta/FB Business Manager).
Strong proficiency in Asana workflows, automation and reporting.
In-depth knowledge of best practices and industry-standard content delivery methods.
An analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to distinguish between technical infrastructure errors and asset errors.
Collaborative and able to assist in training external partners when required.
Acts responsibly and sensitively with all client and agency data.
